Ellen Garrison Day Celebration
Celebrate Ellen Garrison’s Birthday with The Robbins House!
Join us as we honor the 203rd birthday of Concord’s native daughter, Ellen Garrison (April 14, 1823)—an educator, abolitionist, and early civil rights activist whose life’s work advanced education and equality in the 19th century.
This special evening program will celebrate her legacy through music, readings from Ellen’s letters, and reflections on her enduring impact.
Music will be performed by the Boston Public Quartet, a Boston-based ensemble dedicated to amplifying historically underrepresented voices in classical music. Founded in 2007, the group is known for its innovative performances, community engagement, and collaborations across artistic disciplines, bringing music to both traditional stages and diverse community spaces.
We’ll conclude the evening with cake in celebration of Ellen’s birthday.
Free and open to everyone — no reservations necessary.
