Earthnotes: Mindful Nature Journaling

Keeping a seasonal nature journal offers a way to practice your nature-noticing skills and allow the earth to remind you of the resiliency of life.

Our goal is to help you experience the sense of wellbeing that can come through deepening your relationship with nature by providing the space and structure to engage with the natural world around you. Join us for our monthly hour and a half workshop, which includes time to experience nature, direction on a journaling technique, and opportunities to practice your new writing skills. We’ll take advantage of our proximity to the rail trail and go outside to take in the sights, smells, and sounds of the trees and water. If there is bad (or very cold) weather, we’ll stay inside and connect with The Nature Connection’s plants and animals instead.

Materials Needed – We highly recommend bringing your own journal (paper & pens/pencils can be provided if necessary).

Winter Solstice Celebration

Celebrate the winter solstice with The Nature Connection! This workshop will help you learn more about the solstice and what happens on the darkest day of the year. We’ll also do a solstice activity together.

Small group setting where all people and abilities are welcome.
