Poetry is a powerful genre to share your story, thoughts and dreams. Black Americans have used poetry to reflect on current events for hundreds of years. In this generative workshop, you will explore three different Black American poets and work on prompts to write your own poems. There will be time to share our work and encourage each other’s efforts. We will get the creative juices flowing!
