This online February Vacation Week class is perfect for 7-12 year olds who love cartoons and drawing!

Over two afternoon sessions, Tuesday February 16, 2021 and Thursday February 18, 2021, 4:30 – 5:30pm, young artists will join local cartoonist/animator Alex Salsberg for a variety of cartooning games, tricks and challenges that will help them learn to cartoon like the pros! Sign up for one day or both, projects and activities will be different each day!

All you need to bring is a pen/marker and paper, nothing fancy. The paper can be anything: printer paper, scrap, a notebook. The pen can be anything too, but we recommend a thicker pen or marker that can be seen on camera.

Instructor Alex Salsberg is a professional animator with a passion for sharing the fun of animation with the next generation. He’s created dozens of cartoons for TV and web, including work for Nickelodeon, WGBH and MTV. Alex has taught at Lesley College, Middlesex School for Summer Art and Digital Media Academy, where he designed the nationwide animation curriculum.
