This class is open to those who would like to feel comfortable using graphite pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, pastels or ink. Students will develop an awareness of composition, essential to a successful picture. Each Wednesday afternoon, we will work on specific exercises. Each person works at their own pace. Stepping away from traditional filmmaking structures, students produce short films based on themes that will challenge their perception of art while building skills related to creative collaboration, problem-solving, and improvisation. Students will interact with their peers and environments as they develop, shoot, edit and finally exhibit their projects for discussion and feedback.
