West Village Tavern

Had a late lunch for a small celebration. The food was really good. The waitress was really good. I split the bill for the friends with my now EX wife. I tipped the waitress well an my EX stiffed her.

Nice luncheon after an MD appt. We are from Rhode Island and found the place charming. Tiago was our waiter and was kind enough to substitute a plain baked potato for my loaded one. I am lactose intolerant and forgot to tell him that beforehand. (Turkey dinner) My SIL's smash burger was delicious , she said.

Casual dining in upscale town. The portions are large as is the price. The large 8oz cheeseburger ($19) was pretty good with a large bun, tomatoes and raw, sweet onions. The best was the side of Caesar Salad (or mixed green salad or French fries) that came with the burger; it was lightly dressed, with plenty of shaved Parmesan cheese and homemade, fresh croutons.

I come here often and this place always delivers. Great food, great drinks, and a really relaxed atmosphere. Never too crowded. One of my favorite spots.

I went into west village tavern with my friend a couple days ago and had a great time. I haven’t been inside since it was the 99, but the tavern has successfully taken over the prime spot. Our server Rich did a great job, and his recommendation of the Cadillac margarita was exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely return!

Visited here for the first time a few weeks ago. Long-time West Concord resident. Restaurants in the neighborhood have improved significantly, but was skeptical that West Village could out-perform its predecessor the 99 in terms of value and family-friendliness. West Village has the same 99 layout with updated decor (wall hangings, etc) but is otherwise the same. The windows facing the corner in the main dining room add some needed daylight (will be less of an asset as we enter the darkness of the winter months). The food was very good - I had the soup and grilled cheese and my friend had a power salad with quinoa. Price was reasonable.

New restaurant in West Concord, replacing the 99 that was there for years. The food is great and there's a nice variety of dishes. Give it a try!

I ate here twice a few weeks and a month after it opened, and enjoyed the food and beer selection. Essentially the same basic layout of 99 (which it was before) but upscale on food and drinks. Poke bowl was great.

I have been to this establishment a few times since they have opened. I love the bar area where you can just sit and chat with a friend. The dining rooms are nicely updated. The food I had was good and I feel like the selection on the menu can cover a lot of different tastes. Overall, Concord needed a tavern and this fits the bill.

As locals, we took advantage of some nice weather to walk over for an impromptu date night and we had a wonderful time!!

We went to West Village Tavern last weekend for dinner and I can not say enough about the entire experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant to check out was not only smooth, but so welcoming. Our waitress Barbara was amazing at offering selections from all the menus and checked in on us several times to make sure we had what we needed and were enjoying our time. The food and drinks were phenomenally mouth watering and hit the spot! One of my favorite things about this new place was the small details that made the experience that much better. From space saving design at the tables to little netting for the lemons so you don’t squeeze it in your eye! The atmosphere was modern and warm, and the music was perfect. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant. We will be returning to try even more of the amazing food!

It’s a big change from the 99 that used to occupy this space. They have renovated and updated the bathrooms and even have Molton Brown soap. Stopped in for lunch at the bar. The Cape Cod Rueben was Big & Tasty. Drinks were on point. Definitely returning for more.

West Village Tavern in Concord does an excellent job with a clean updated comfortable Tavern feel, sleek enough for a great date night. You can't go wrong starting off with warm rolls and quality olive oil with Parmesan cheese. Comfort food favorite apps like giant scallops wrapped in bacon and pork dumplings. The grilled salmon and sweet potato are favorites of mine, as well as pasta like the sausage and fafale in a tomato cream sauce. The whole roasted acorn squash stuffed with quinoa is a healthy option that's also pretty impressive to see. And desserts like tiramisu will please even the pickiest eaters.

Better than the 99

Everything about this restaurant is amazing. I've been to so many 5 star restaurants in the city and this has topped them all for different reasons. Thank you for making the kids menu special so it's a night out for everyone! Food 6 out of 5, staff 6 out of 5.... I think you're getting the idea. Go here!!

We couldn’t wait for this place to finally open. Atmosphere is mello which I appreciate. Dim lights and no loud music or screens. Our waitress was so attentive and accommodating. We ordered the baked haddock which was cooked well but lacked flavor. Same with the spinach side dish. My daughters got the Mac n’ cheese. While it was our preferred white cheddar, it again, lacked flavor. The chicken tenders were delicious as were the Cesar salads. The house martini has blue cheese stuffed olives. Which is a winner for me. While we loved the offerings, most of them just didn’t live up to expectations. I really wanted to love this place and have it be our new regular date night or family dinner out. We will try it again in a few months and see if the food improves after they’ve been open longer. Perhaps we just need to try more things on the menu.

Good upscale brewpub fare. I complemented the kitchen on my French Dip sandwich: I worked in a store that offered French Dips, and WVT's version was better than what we served. My companion had a veggie burger and sweet potato fries; I cannot speak to the burger, but I had a few fries and they were quite good. We both had the signature Old Fashioned cocktail to drink and we both found it good, a bit sweet, and packing more alcoholic wallop than we expected. The service was good and had fewer glitches than I'd have anticipated in a new restaurant. It does get busy quickly. By the time we left at 5:30 there was a line to get a table and the bar was SRO.

Visited with the kiddos the first day they opened. Friendly staff, and food was tasty. Kitchen sink nachos were delicious. Tuna poke bowl was excellent. Kids enjoyed their meals (grilled cheese and Mac and cheese) And said in more than one occasion, “I love this so much more than the 99”. It was a good first visit, can’t wait to go again!

Nice place, liked what they did to the old 99. Anyway, the "'upscale pub" concept was needed in Concord and the folks from "The Local" has filled that need. Went early on a Wednesday with wife and in-laws. Good selection of drafts and wine. We had a few apps (chips&guac and pork dumplings). Very good. 3 of us had the tuna poke and others had the caesar salad and the short ribs. Poke was a great choice, we all liked that with 1 caveat (please scoop out the avocado, so no skin is in the bowl). Brother-in-law loved the short ribs (a tad heavy, but that's expected). Anyway, looking forward to future visits.

I had dinner there Day 2 of them being open. Great wine list and cocktails. The short ribs were dynamite. Rich, the owner, is a super affable guy! We sat at the bar. Waitstaff was top notch. Ill be back!
