Concord Conservatory of Music presents Summer Saxophone and Woodwind Ensemble
Summer is the perfect time to take your playing to the next level. Join students, entering grades 6 – 9, in a Saxophone and Woodwind Ensemble this summer and play jazz, and rock, pop as well as classical music. Groups of no more than five students will form ensembles according to their skill levels. Students will also receive coaching on the art of improvisation.
Playing in a small ensemble lends itself to receiving individual attention from the instructor and strengthens one’s skills and music knowledge. It also teaches how to play with a group and communicate with its members, so they can produce great melodious, rhythmic, and energetic music together. The ensemble enriches practicing experiences by providing musical conversations and camaraderie.
Saxophone, clarinet, flute, and other woodwind players welcome. Family and friends are invited to a final concert each group performs. The Ensemble will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two monthly summer sessions. Student placement is determined by ability: Group I at 10:30 am – 12:00 pm and Group II at 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm.
