Presented in partnership with The Thoreau Society and the Center for American Studies in Concord, join us for a one-man play presented by Stephen Collins about Herman Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne. “Sailing Towards My Father” by Carl Rossi that explores Melville’s life beyond his classic whaling epic, Moby Dick. The play chronicles Melville’s life from youth to old age, concentrating on his evolution as a writer and his complex relationships with God, his parents and siblings, his wife and children, and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
