Make meal preparation easier and quicker by having good knives, and learning how to use them efficiently. This knife skills hands-on class is the most useful skill in cooking. You will learn how to hold a knife, how to cut, slice, mince, julienne and more without cutting yourself. Bring a 3 inch peeler, and a chef’s knife, 6 or 8 inch if you have one. First we will learn how to sharpen your knives and make soups, based on a simple white stock. Class includes vegetable soup with turkey meatballs, cream of carrot soup, and more! We will finish by cutting fruits like mangoes, pineapple and apples. Bring an apron, your knives and be ready to get to work to make cooking fun. We will cook and eat the food you prepare!
A $10 food fee is payable to the instructor on the night of class.
