Pianos on the Town – Call for Artists

March 22 @ 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) is bringing a vibrant new public art initiative to the region this spring: Pianos on the Town.

Produced in partnership with the global arts organization Sing for Hope, this project will transform upright pianos into unique, playable works of art. From May 30 through June 27, these artist-designed pianos will be placed in high-traffic outdoor locations throughout Concord and West Concord, inviting community members of all ages to stop, play, and connect through music.

As we gear up for our community-wide unveiling on May 30, we have officially issued a Call to Artists. We are seeking eight to ten bold, imaginative designs from local and regional artists to be featured in this exhibition.

Key Details:

  • Application Deadline: March 30, 2026.
  • Artist Benefits: Selected artists receive a stipend of $750 and the chance to showcase their work in highly visible public settings.
  • Exhibition Dates: May 30 – June 27, 2026.
