Conversations in a Civil Society: Agreeing to Disagree

April 3, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

- $10

“The right to criticize, the right to hold unpopular beliefs, the right to protest, the right of independent thought, all basic principles of Americanism.”- Margaret Chase Smith

How do we as a society embrace these principles and in doing so not dismiss those in community with us when we disagree with them?

The goal of the Conversations in a Civil Society forum is to discuss ways to navigate our differences-politics, religion, values, life style. How do we learn to have conversations around issues that sometimes divide us? How do we learn to listen better, discuss, and even find ways to bridge some of the issues that separate us?

Join us for a panel discussion by:
Moderator: Chris Gauthier, Social Studies teacher at CCHS
Panelists:
Ona Ferguson from Consensus Building Institute
Dr. Robert Munro from Middlesex School
Rose Pavlov from Ivy Child

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

Student tickets are $5. Enter code: STUDENT
