Emerson- Thoreau Amble This Winter hike is available for groups of 4 or more by reservation only. Join one of our concord Tour Guides as we ‘amble’ along the Emerson-Thoreau Amble trail, and learn about Thoreau, Emerson and more as we enjoy the great outdoors. Waterproof hiking shoes are recommended for this approx 2 mile, 75 minute walk. Terrain is uneven and muddy. Tours will run weather dependent. Knitting: Crest of the Wave Cowl

Unlike a scarf, a neck cowl takes much less yarn & time to complete and has great potential for skill-building. It also makes a quick winter project. We will knit a cowl in-the-round on circular needles while practicing the rippled lace pattern called “Crest of the Wave.” This class will also cover reading the symbols on a stitch chart. Liberia: A visit with the Gbarnga Mission
