Grave Detectives! will introduce families to some of Concord’s oldest history that is hiding in plain sight at Old Hill Burying Ground. This tour will introduce how to read gravestone iconography, how to use images to roughly date stones, and how the epitaphs convey information.

Grave Detectives! Stories in Stone is an interactive discovery tour for kids and adults exploring the art, history, and sometimes funny stories behind the stones.

A unique and memorable historical experience in beautiful downtown Concord!

— All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
— Tours depart from the benches located in front of Concord’s Colonial Inn
— Tour route: about one 1/2 mile total on uneven, sometimes slippery ground.
— Appropriate footwear strongly recommended (no flip flops or heels). Old Hill Burial Ground is not wheelchair accessible.
