Regional Juried Art Show Sets the Stage for Concord Art’s Winter Costume Party
The community is invited to Concord Art’s Winter Costume Party held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 6:30pm -8:30pm at 37 Lexington Road, Concord, MA. The party is in celebration of the work in the Member’s Juried 1 art exhibition of painting and sculpture, on view now at Concord Art until February 10, 2018. Partygoers are encouraged to channel their favorite artist, (Picasso, Rembrandt, or Frida Kahlo?) and arrive dressed as your favorite artist or favorite painting or perhaps just as the art lover you are. The artwork in the MJ1 exhibit is by Concord Art member artists and is the backdrop and inspiration for the winter party. There will be festive music, a raffle for a painting, a silent and live auction for exciting trips, red-sox tickets, an artist tour with Eric Aho and more. There will be prizes for best costume and a photo booth to pose for the camera. Refreshments include beer, wine and lots of hearty hors d’oeurves served while choosing “my favorite painting”! The night promises to be a celebration that supports the arts in Concord.
The Member’s Juried 1 exhibition is the first art exhibit of the year at Concord Art and includes a selection of paintings and sculpture, juried by Debbie, Disston, Director of the McIninch Gallery, at Southern New Hampshire University.
