Join the Friends of Minute Man for a visit from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Plantmobile at the beautiful Buttrick Gardens! Register today at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/blooms-bees-butterflies-discover-pollinators-at-minute-man-tickets-1989850104227?aff=oddtdtcreator
This fun, hands-on program invites children and families to explore the fascinating world of pollinators and the important role they play in our environment. Through interactive activities, children will discover how flowers and pollinators work together, learn about the parts of a flower, and meet some of nature’s hardest-working helpers, including bees, butterflies, and more.
Perfect for children in grades K–5 and their families, this engaging program invites young learners to explore the connections between plants, insects, and healthy ecosystems in one of Minute Man National Historical Park’s most beautiful garden settings.
This is a free family program, and parents or guardians are asked to stay and participate with their children. Registration is required, and space is limited. Please note that we are unable to accommodate organized groups for this program. To schedule a walk, lecture, or educational program for your group, please contact Kathleen Fahey at director@friendsofminuteman.org.
The event will take place rain or shine. Sunscreen is recommended, though we’ll seek out shady spots to explore and learn together. The Buttrick Gardens are adjacent to the North Bridge Visitor Center, 174 Liberty Street, Concord, MA. Accessible parking, restrooms, and a water-bottle-filling station are available.
This event is sponsored by Friends of Minute Man, Minute Man National Historical Park, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, and funded through the generous support of the Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation.
