We founded Walden Campervans with a simple mission. To bring people closer to the wonder of nature, and each other. A husband + wife founding team, we’ve always found our center walking through the woods, hiking up a mountain, or blazing a new trail. For us, the freedom of outdoor exploration that Vanlife provides is the ultimate source of inspiration. It allows you to disconnect from the routine of everyday life and reconnect with what truly matters most, whether that be under the stars or on top of a mountain.
We brought Walden Campervans to life out of a desire to share that experience with others. Everything about the Walden journey is designed to kindle adventure and create new memories that you’ll treasure forever. We hope you’ll join us out there… as Thoreau said, “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die discover that I had not lived.”

Our family of four took Skye to coastal Maine for the Fourth. We had a seamless, top-notch experience with Mike and the Walden team from booking to dropoff. Our one- and three-year-old loved cuddling on the comfy bed, climbing up the ladder to the pop-up tent and picking blueberries and seashells at contrasting but both very Maine campsites. Mike’s clutch concierge service helped us snag some great spots on a busy holiday weekend. Campervan luxury level experience, can’t wait for our next trip with Skye!

We're from the UK and wanted to rent a camper to do a trip around New England. Mike from Walden Campervans was really nice, provided all the info we needed and made sure we were set up for our trip! The van was perfect and exactly as good as it looked in the website's photos!
It was kitted out with everything we needed - the only thing we needed to buy was food!
Would highly recommend this company for a New England van adventure.

Camping in Mardy was a literal dream come true! After watching years of YouTube vanlife videos we decided to try our hand at it for the long weekend. Kept waiting for things to get tough but instead we had a luxurious and relaxing trip exploring the Finger Lakes.
Beyond the vehicle being immaculate and perfectly designed, the customer service was awesome! Mike and team were good people and incredibly responsive! Great company. Already dreaming about our next trip with Walden...

Excellent customer service! This was our first campervan experience. Mike answered all of our questions, and allowed us a visit prior to the trip to preview the vehicle. The van was very clean, equipped with essentials, and very comfortable. We spent 5 days in Maine where the black flies were out, and appreciated the screened windows. We would highly recommend Walden Campervans!

Amazing campervan experience and we will definitely be booking again! Travelled for our April anniversary trip with our dog and drove south for warmer weather. The campervan build design is high quality and thoughtful - we booked Annie. The details and stuff included help you pack less and are also high quality. The van is very clean. Recommend packing extra towels and wipes to clean up after your adventurous dog or for muddy days. We packed a grill and rice cooker as we preferred that. Loved having a fridge vs living out of a cooler. Mike was very easy to communicate with. He helped us with trip planning (free Scout package) and were introduced to resources we never knew about which was helpful. Walden Campervans take care of their vans and customers!

*So much fun, and such great service!* I have watched enough #VanLife videos to know that while adventurous, living out of a camper van can also be challenging. Not so for our rental from Walden! Mike & team have thought of everything. This inexperienced glamper had a great time - with a toddler! We had all of the fun without the hassle of figuring out the camping logistics that a cold weather trip would necessitate. Our rental Benton had a fridge & microwave, efficient heater, more than enough power for our 2 day trip since we drove a long distance, and tons of storage. Best of all: Mike was super patient with our many questions. We hope to rent Benton again someday!

The van exceeded expectations, they are spotless and packed with all the essentials. We had a wonderful trip to Vermont with friends to see the total eclipse, and the campers really made the trip easy and fun for both the adults and the kids!

Walden Camper Vans got us out there! We headed to NH and were treated to a surprise 12” snow. It was so nice to be outside making snowmen, then come inside to a clean, warm, well-stocked, full featured van. It’s equal parts Camper Van AND Pamper Van! :)

Everything about this rental experience was first rate! Renting online was easy and Mike gave us a thorough tour of the van so that we were very comfortable taking the van off-grid for four days of winter camping. Whether you want to “try before you buy”, are planning a road trip, or you just want to go camping for a few days, I highly recommend Walden Campervans!

The service provided by the Walden Campervans team was exemplary. The van was meticulous, the bed very comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen met our needs. We utilized the Walden Scout trip planning feature and even with our last-minute planning, they were able to find great options for us. I would highly recommend Walden Campervans and, without hesitation, would rent again from them in the future. The van made our trip amazing.

Walden campervan was the best way to explore Acadia National Park for us! We could stay inside the park in home-like comfort with this van. The van layout was very modern and functional. The bed was really comfortable, and we had great sleep every night. The van also came with all the necessary items for extended camping. The roof deck was an amazing feature in our van. It would be really hard for us to go back to the car or tent camping after experiencing the Walden campervan.

Walden Campervans was great - the van had everything we needed for our trip plus a lot of fun extras and special touches. Communication was prompt and friendly, and the free ‘Scout’ add-on was super useful in helping us plan our trip. Would absolutely book with them again and can’t recommend them highly enough.

The van was well stocked with anything we could possibly need for our weekend away, and absolutely immaculate upon pickup! The decor was so cute and well thought out in layout, bed comfortable, and the van we had drove great on the road as well! Despite our last minute request for a rental the communication with the Walden Camper Vans team went above and beyond our expectations, and we are so ecstatic to try one of their vans again for a future trip!
