    UPDATE from Walden Pond State Reservation The New Year's Day for our FIRST DAY self-guided hikes have been cenceled due to current icy trail conditions (microspikes are needed), along the accessible trail. Interpretive signs will be placed along the Visitor Center Deck. You can still meet Thoreau (11am-1pm)/enjoy hot chocolate/free parking. Visitor Center hours: 10am-3pm.
