Keep your wreaths out of the trash! Due to the wires and decorations, wreaths cannot be composted as they are, but with some wire cutters, a bit of elbow grease, and about ten minutes of your time, you can keep them out of the landfill. Bring them to Fowler where Mothers Out Front and volunteers will show you how to remove the wire so the greenery can be composted and the forms reused! We will meet in the backyard, so wear your work gloves and bundle up! If you have wire cutters, please bring them with you!
Can’t make it on February 1? Stop by ahead starting January 27 to visit our self-serve Wreath Compost Workstation! Bring work gloves and borrow our wire cutters to take apart your wreath!
In the case of bad weather on Saturday, any updates will be posted on the library event calendar: cfpl.info/wreathcompost
For questions, please call Fowler at 978-318-3350.
Thank you to Mothers Out Front and Concord Public Works for their efforts!
