On Sunday, January 28, 1:00-3:00 pm, the Musketaquid Arts and Environment Program of the Umbrella Community Arts Center presents a Wild Walk.
Join survivalist Tim Swanson in Concord Land Conservation Trust’s Hallenbeck Land to learn the art of winter survival: what to eat, how to stay warm, and how to stay dry. You’ll learn to use a bow drill and other tools to start a fire. In addition, learn to make cordage from natural fibers — the ancient form of duct tape that comes in handy in any situation.
Location: Concord Land Conservation Trust Hallenbeck Land on Lowell Road. Please park along Indian Spring Road and meet at the trail head on Lowell Road between #857 and #887. This event is co-sponsored by the Concord Land Conservation Trust. To register, go to http://www.theumbrellaarts.org and click on Arts and Environment. Cost: $5/person; $10/family.
