White Pond

The White Pond beach and farm parcels were gifted to the Town of Concord in 2018 in a charitable donation from the White Pond Associates Inc. This charitable donation was “to preserve White Pond and its shores as a place of historic interest and natural beauty; to provide a suitable place for recreational swimming in the community; to encourage and promote recreational, educational, scientific and artistic outdoor activities; and to maintain land and interests in land along and near the shores of White Pond for these purposes.”

The goals of the White Pond Associates Inc. as given to the former Town Manager, Chris Whelan, and Deputy Town Manager Kate Hodges on June 27th, 2018. The text of these goals can be found here.

The White Pond Associates Inc. was officially dissolved on November 15, 2019 when the Attorney General agreed to dissolve the group.

White Pond is a community property which is in need of access and sustainability improvements. The Town’s goals for the property are to increase ease of access to areas by developing a comprehensive and robust stormwater management system.
