This week’s adventure will take us to a variety of places outside of our usual VINTAGES stomping grounds. Like beloved troubador Yusuf Islam/fka Cat Stevens once said, it is indeed a “wild world.” There’s certainly a magic to those who operate outside of the “norm” in their unique little corners of the wine world, particularly in regions that aren’t tethered by longstanding histories of excellence with a singular varietal or style. Places where secondary indigenous grapes are celebrated, where fermentation occurs a little differently, and where winemakers can get creative.

We’ll be trying a fun assortment of bottlings that do just that – from a skin-contact white made by Cistercian nuns in Lazio, to a blend of indigenous red grapes made by a renown Vouvray producer, and beyond.
