Award-winning singer/songwriter/guitarist Terry Kitchen celebrates the release of his new CD Rubies in the Dust with a concert at Main Streets Cafe, 42 Main St., Concord, on Thursday July 11. His new CD Rubies in the Dust features his interpretations of folk-rock classics by Brian Wilson, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones in addition to his own award-winning songs. Terry Kitchen has been performing on folk stages since the 1990s, releasing ten CDs. His songs have won the Mid-Atlantic and USA Song Contests, and been runner-up in the John Lennon Song Contest, and have also appeared in numerous films. In the 1980s he was the leader of the groundbreaking Boston band Loose Ties, whose experiences he recounts in his novel Next Big Thing, called “a great debut novel” by The San Francisco Book Review.
