The Garden Club of Concord invites you to join us for our annual open community program on May 17, 2023, 7pm at Trinitarian Congregational Church (54 Walden Street) for “Pruning demystified! Be a barber, not a butcher” by C. L. Fornari. From holly to hydrangeas, you’ll learn the proper way to prune your shrubs and trees, how to handle over-grown plants, and more.
C. L. Fornari is an artist and plant geek who got pulled into garden communications in 1995. She is the author of eight books, including Coffee for Roses and the Cocktail Hour Garden. C. L. is a regular columnist for Garden Center Magazine, a frequent speaker to groups nationwide and has worked for a family-owned independent garden center for 25 years. She received the Garden Communicator award from the Perennial Plant Association. Her not-too-secret mission is to keep horticulture in popular culture. In the meantime she is writing a novel and growing vegetables, flowers, shrubs, trees and numerous other plants at Poison Ivy Acres on Cape Cod. Learn more about C. L. at www.GardenLady.com.
