The cold weather is approaching, leaves are changing, and the holidays are just around the corner. Join us for Concord’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Parade. This year’s event will be run by Concord Recreation and the Concord Celebrations Committee. Festivities will begin at 3:00pm and the streets will close at 4:00pm. Enjoy musical acts, entertainers, and shopping. The holiday parade will begin at 4:50 with a new parade route this year! Please see below or check with Concord Recreation for details. Tree lighting will be at 5:30pm. Meet Santa at the Concord Visitiors Center after the tree lighting! Roads reopen at 6:00pm.
Please note the parade route has changed this year. The parade will now start at the Hunt Recreation Center, take a right onto Hubbard Street, take a left onto Walden Street, followed by a right onto Main Street to light the tree. Following the parade and tree lighting, there will be a Holiday Ball at the Scout House with the Beantown Swing Orchestra. Tickets for the Holiday Ball are $15 adults, $10 students/seniors, children 12 and under are free. For any questions about the Holiday Ball please contact Frank Hsieh at director@beantownswing.com.
We encourage all business in Town to take part in this family event in whatever capacity you may wish. From handing out candy canes to giving away free holiday trinkets at your door, any gesture of holiday spirit is welcomed. You do not have to be a downtown business to participate. If you are interested in participating in any capacity, please send your information/request to Anna McKeown, Assistant Director at the Concord Recreation Department, by October 27th. Anna can be reached at AMcKeown@concordma.gov or by calling 978-287-1057.
