Join us a special edition of Fowler’s Saturday Studio in collaboration with Mothers Out Front. This month’s theme is Earth Day, and we are excited to welcome guest reader Representative Simon Cataldo to help us explore the roots of this important important day of action.
The first Earth Day took place on April 22, 1970, and was a monumental event with 20 million Americans participating! This movement raised awareness about environmental issues and gave birth to a wave of significant environmental legislation.
Through a mix of stories, songs, and hands-on crafts, we’ll help young readers explore the history and significance of Earth Day. Our hands-on craft activity will help kids and grown-ups express the vision of the future they want to inherit.
We’ll meet in the backyard if the weather is nice, and downstairs in the meeting room if it’s gloomy.
This event is organized in collaboration with the Concord Chapter of Mothers Out Front, a volunteer-led organization dedicated to ensure a livable climate and better future for all children.
