February Reading Circle

February 26, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

- Free

Host: The Walden Woods Project
Location: 44 Baker Farm Road Lincoln, MA

Join the Walden Woods Project for our new Reading Circle! We will read and explore works by Thoreau as well as authors whose work contributes to an even deeper examination of Thoreau’s ideas.

At our first Reading Circle we will discuss “Civil Disobedience,” by Henry David Thoreau; “Slavery in Massachusetts,” by Henry David Thoreau; and “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We will have questions prepared to start the discussion and encourage participants to bring their own. Our Curator of Collections and Thoreau scholar Jeff Cramer will join us to provide biographical and historical context to the conversation.

Wine, refreshments, and non-alcoholic drinks will be offered. The Reading Circle is FREE to attend. Pre-registration is not required, but is requested to help us plan (and we will send you one pdf file with all of the readings, if you register!).
