BE THOREAU: Reader – Gallery Talk and Discussion
Tuesday, December 05, 2017, 7PM – 9PM
Join Concord Museum Curator David Wood, Concord Free Public Library’s Curator of Special Collections Leslie Wilson, and local historian Jayne Gordon for a look at Thoreau’s reading life, and our own. Why do we read? What are we looking for? What do we hope to find?
This discussion-based program includes a visit to the special exhibition on This Ever New Self: Thoreau and His Journal, which includes a section on Thoreau as “reader.”
This event will take place at the Concord Museum. General admission $10; Concord Museum Members and Friends of the Concord Free Public Library free.
