A dramatic community art project has been rolled out in Carlisle, MA. It includes more than 3,000 handcrafted poppies “planted” across the center of town — from the Veterans Honor Roll on the Town Common down to the Town Rotary on Route 225. The display celebrates the centenary of the Armistice to end WWI on November 11, 1918. It involved year-long contributions by citizens of all ages, from school children to members of the Council on Aging, from local descendents of WW1 veterans to family and friends from around the world. Daily thru November 17, 2018.
