The Concord Natural Resources Division, together with the Concord Land Conservation Trust and Sudbury Valley Trustees, will host a public workshop on the design of the future All Persons Trail to be constructed at the Assabet River Bluff conservation land.
Tuesday, June 13, 2023 All are welcomed and encouraged to attend. This facility is accessible. About the WorkshopAll Persons Trails are designed, constructed, and managed to be used by all people. They especially provide an enhanced opportunity for persons with disabilities to enjoy the great outdoors. The Assabet River Bluff trail will be designed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone. Please come and share your thoughts, suggestions, and hopes for an All Persons Trail, or just listen in. The Assabet River Bluff conservation land overlooks the Assabet River and abuts the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail at the corner of Upland Road and Old Marlboro Road. The seven-acre property at 2B Upland Road and 406 Old Marlboro Road was acquired by the Town of Concord in 2022 and divided into a six-acre parcel of conservation land and a one-acre parcel dedicated to affordable housing. The All Persons Trail will be located on the six-acre conservation parcel with the purpose of providing people of all abilities with an opportunity to experience and enjoy nature. Questions? Please help spread the word about this workshop, and we hope to see you there. |
