Any Concord resident aged 60 and older is eligible to receive a flu vaccine at the Concord Council on Aging’s (COA) Annual Flu Clinic. The high dose flu vaccine will be available ONLY for residents aged 65+ years. This year the clinic will be conducted as a drive-through event with strict protocols due to the pandemic on Tuesday, October 6, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The event will take place at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center (HWCC) parking lot (enter off of Church Street) at 1276 Main Street in West Concord.
Any eligible resident MUST call the COA and sign up to receive the vaccine; NO DROP-INS will be accepted on the day of the Flu Clinic. Once a resident has called and signed-up, he/she will be sent the necessary flu vaccine paperwork via USPS mail or link. The paperwork needs to be completed and returned to the COA by mail or in the COA drop off box at HWCC by September 30th. If the COA has not received paperwork by the 30th, the COA will not be able to offer the vaccine. Eligible residents will be given a set time to arrive for their vaccine and it is imperative to arrive at the scheduled time. Everyone must wear a mask at all times and remain in their car for the vaccine. Please wear a loose sleeve or short sleeve shirt.
Please contact the Concord COA after September 1st to reserve space at 978-318-3020, only phone calls will be accepted. The COA appreciates cooperation with these guidelines to ensure a successful and safe Flu Clinic.
