What is the best response, when we witness someone expressing anger or disrespect to a person “not like them?” How can we overcome bias and hate, one incident and one person at a time? How should we respond, “in the moment,” when it matters most?

In this workshop we will learn to recognize and respond to bias incidents in productive ways by examining the roles of bystander, harm-doer and target, and how cycles of harm can be overcome. This introductory training, which provides a foundation for personal action, is offered by the Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council and is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Concord-Carlisle and the Concord Free Public Library.
