Concord Library Friends present 2018 Ruth Ratner Miller Award for Excellence in American History to Annette Gordon-Reed, a professor of History at Harvard University. The lecture, award presentation and reception is Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at the library, 129 Main St., Concord. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students and are available at the library or the Concord Bookshop.
