We are being driven into the Art Room again by rain and mosquitoes. All are welcome to drop in between 4 and 6 on Thursday the 5th. We will be making art with sea shells. Paint shells or make paintings with shells. Lots of supplies and instruction. By donation to the ART for ALL program. $15/person, or $25/family suggested.

Concord’s Summer Sidewalk Celebration!

Sales, Dining, Shopping & More in Concord & West Concord! Walden Street will be closed to traffic but there will be access to the parking lot for all. A Chamber of Commerce tables will be set up on the Middlesex lawn in Concord and another in West Concord for any business to stop by and chat with a Board member about the Concord Chamber of Commerce.

The Concord Free Public Library will host 4 free, family-friendly concerts featuring Rockabye Beats this summer on the Main Library’s Front Lawn. Rockabye Beats’ music is reminiscent of founder Marcos Valles’ Puerto Rico. Their songs offer a range of styles from rock n’ roll to calypso to funk and even blues. This Thursday 4 to 6 the activity is sand painting and next week will be Trash into Treasures, making stuff out of recycled materials. Each Thursday people may also make submissions for the Fantastic Faces Show. We ask for a donation to the ART for ALL program, $15/person or $25/family.

Registration is now underway for The Umbrella's three in-person youth summer arts camps: The Umbrella Arts Camp, with half- and full-day options art activities for grades K-8; The Umbrella Performing Arts Camp, a two-week full-day theater camp for grades 3-8; and Arts & Rec Camp, combining sports and art for grades K-6. This summer “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” at the Concord Free Public Library (CFPL)! The CFPL Summer Reading Program runs from Monday, June 6 through Friday, Aug 12 and is free and open to children of all ages.
