You’ve done the archival research, now what? How do you turn probate records, land deeds, vital records, newspaper articles, letters, diaries, photographs and other archival treasures into a riveting story? The author of two books about Concord history, Elise Lemire will discuss ways of organizing your research findings so that you have the best chance of revealing unexpected and compelling narratives. She will review different literary techniques that will help you set your reader in a fact-based but novelistic story world. Participants will also practice turning a few sample primary sources into a short vignette.
