Join volunteer facilitator, Edmund Stori, for the COA’s launch of a Conversation Circle. Conversation Circles are small-group discussions in a modified Socratic format in which participants share ideas and opinions for mutual education and enlightenment on compelling issues of our times. The renewal of Conversation Circles in Concord is based on an idea introduced in the 19th century by Bronson Alcott, educator and father of Louisa May, and Margaret Fuller, pioneering advocate for women. April’s first Circle looks at the implications of the evolution of the identity and status of women in American society from the lives depicted in “Little Women” to the present ascendancy to political power of Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi. The Circle is limited to ten participants so please call 978-318-3020 to sign up.
