Wild Walk: Family Ninjas in Nature Skills Festival

November 3, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

- $10 – $20

The Umbrella Arts & Environment program invites families and participants of all ages to its first Family “Ninjas in Nature” Skills Festival, part of its Wild Walks event series, on Sunday, November 3.
Ken Clarkson, an expert instructor for The Umbrella’s popular Ninjas in Nature classes and summer camp, will lead a number of fun, multi-generational games and activities in Chamberlin Woods to teach the art of wilderness survival. Festival attendees will learn how to start a fire by friction (and roast croissants!), hunt wild edibles, navigate a route blindfolded, and make trail art.
The Family Ninjas in Nature Skills Festival takes place from 1 to 4 pm at the Concord Land Conservation Trust Chamberlin Woods. Registration costs $10 per person and $20 per family, and participants can show up at any time. Register at TheUmbrellaArts.org/Ninja-Fest
Ninjas in Nature is a part of the national Pathway Dojo, and fuses the ancient arts of ninjitsu with nature connections to empower individuals and communities as a whole.
The Umbrella Arts & Environment program promotes a reconnection to place and to nature through celebration, exploration, and the arts. It is part of the expansive Umbrella Arts Center (formerly Emerson Umbrella), a multifunction 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization founded in 1983 in Concord, MA.
