Rain or shine – get ready to run at the Thoreau School’s 13th Annual Road Race, Sunday, May 19, 2019. As the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year, this community-wide event celebrates Concord spirit, fitness, and health. Bring the whole family to run, walk, jog or stroll with us. The 5K run starts at 9:00 am and Kid’s Runs (.5 and 1 mile) begin at 10:30 am. In addition to the races, there will be kids activities, an awards ceremony, and food truck offerings from Amigos Locos and Dylan & Pete’s Ice Cream. All events take place at and around the Thoreau School, located at 29 Prairie Street in West Concord.

Online pre-registration will be open until May 14, 2019. Racers who pre-register by Sunday April 28th are guaranteed to receive a Thoreau Road Race running shirt! Race registrations are also accepted the day of the race starting at 8:00 am. The price of the 5K is $30 for online pre-registration and $35 for race day registration. Kids’ races are $15 (for both pre-race and race day registration). All proceeds benefit the Thoreau Parent Teacher Group (PTG), who supports curricular-enriching programs that enhance educational, cultural and social opportunities for the Thoreau community.
