The Can We Talk series stimulates productive and respectful discourse in our community around important issues. Our goal is to come together to listen, learn and strengthen our community connections. Join us to talk about our current civic crisis and discuss possible actions in the spirit of Thoreau, Louisa May Alcott, and Emerson. How do “we the people” restore, rebuild, and repair our democracy?
Speakers:
Tami Gouveia, Director, Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health & Paul Farmer Professor, Boston University
Archon Fung, Director, Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, Harvard University
John W. Ballantine, Jr, Moderator, Emeritus, Senior Lecturer, Brandeis International Business School
Our panelists will give global and local overviews of the current political situation, with breakout sessions for discussion. We will then come together to share those discussions. This will give everyone an opportunity to exchange views and hear from others.
This program is offered in partnership with Reclaim our Democracy. Learn more about ROD.
