Take & Make Lawn Signs for Kids

August 10, 2020

- Free

The Concord Free Public Library is partnering with The Umbrella Arts & Environment Program to offer Take & Make Lawn Sign crafts for kids and teens. Beginning on Monday Aug 10, the Library will provide a limited amount of blank lawn signs for kids and teens to make messages of hope for our community during this pandemic. Messages can be silly, hopeful, inspiring. Signs can be put on front lawns, or shared with the Concord Free Public Library or The Umbrella Arts Center. Kids and teens are encouraged to send a photo of their final project by emailing Childrens@concordma.org. The Library will share these images on social media and add the images to the Library’s archives as part of the initiative to Chronicle Concord through Covid-19.
For more information on this initiative, go to: https://concordlibrary.org/special-collections/chronicling-concord-through-covid-19
The Umbrella Arts Center will include these images in their summer’s end “Discover Your Arts Showcase” — a virtual exhibition to display all the creations that students, campers, Ninjas in Nature challengers, and others created this summer.
Participants may call the library at (978) 318-3300 to reserve their lawn signs and pick it up via curbside delivery.
