Do you often feel nervous, anxious, or on edge? Do you feel you worry too much or have little control over how much you worry or what you worry about? You are not alone; anxiety is very common. Using family and friends for support who do not have a solid understanding of anxiety can be frustrating due to a well-intended support person’s lack of understanding. Joining with others who have similar experiences can help you feel less isolated and reduce stress, resulting in a positive impact on emotional and physical health. Come share your experiences, feelings, and coping strategies with others who are similarly impacted by anxiety for this six-session support group. This is the first topic of a series of mental health support groups that the COA plans to offer. A minimum group size of 8 and maximum of 12 is needed to run the group. The group will be facilitated by COA Social Services Supervisor, Nicole Saia. Please call the COA to register at 978-318-3020.
