Summer 2021 Nature Connection Programs Beginning in June, Hosted by the Concord Free Public Library

June 22, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

- Free

The Concord Free Public Library (CFPL) is teaming up with The Nature Connection this summer for a Tales and Tails storytime series! We invite children, ages 10 and under, to a nature themed storytime where they will get to meet an animal and explore nature hands-on. Programs will take place outdoors once a month at the Main Library’s Sudbury Road garden.

On Tuesday, June 22 from 11-11:45am listen to a short story and meet a hedgehog as we explore how animals use their eyes, ears, and smell to communicate with the world around them!

On Tuesday, July 27 from 11-11:45am listen to a story about animals that carry their homes around with them as a shell, explore the many different kinds of shells animals have, and meet a turtle!

On Tuesday, August 10 from 11-11:45am learn about animals that don’t sleep at night. Read a story about animals that are active at night, like bats and fireflies, and then get an up close look at a live owl!

We encourage families to register ahead of time on the CFPL website so that we can provide enough materials, but registration is not required! The Nature Connection designs programs to be accessible and inclusive for children of all backgrounds and abilities. We welcome all children to attend!
