Spirits of Fashion – ” Wartime Fashion “

November 16, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

- Free

Have you ever wondered how fashion changed during WWI and WWII? Despite wartime shortages and restrictions, men and women managed to dress in style. How did they accomplish this? Join Karen Antonowicz from Sprits of Fashion to discover what these wartime shortages were and how they were overcome by the determined people of these times. We will explore the clothing and accessories worn during these war periods, focusing on some of the innovative ways in which fashion was followed. This program will be presented live on Zoom; and it will be shown at the COA projected on the large screen for those without Zoom. This presentation is funded by proceeds from Harvey’s Treasure Chest Gift Shop. There is no charge. Please call the COA office to sign up. If you are attending on Zoom, you will receive a Zoom link the day before the program. Call 978-318-3020 to register.
