Two artists with unique and colorful visions present the natural world in ways that surprise and delight. These two painters work primarily in different media (Jane in oils and cold wax, Marcia in acrylics and encaustics) but they share a love of color, layers and texture. In collaborating on this show, the artists created pairings of their works that clearly reveal their common love of nature, while also sparking a playful dialogue between the paintings.
At this point, we are keeping it very low-key in terms of a reception, and playing it a bit by ear as we all get vaccinated and emerge from the pandemic. So while we plan on a small in-person reception, we aren’t advertising that anywhere, just sending out postcards to our existing clients or putting in our personal newsletters. Things may change in terms of a virtual or in-person reception in a month or so, since all of this is so fluid, but for now we are hoping to use Living Concord and other opportunities mainly to get people to come see the show in-person in the galleries, when it works for them!
