Outdoor Plein Air Weekend Workshop at Grounding Stone Farm, New Hampshire
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, May 21, 22, and 23 from 10:00 am–4:00 pm

Working outdoors, students will investigate, record and hone their observational skills. You will work intuitively to explore and consider line, form and the distinctive colors that exist in this beautiful part of the world. Students will take simple hikes around the Grounding Stone Farm property. Small sketches will help students to understand a simplified sense of space and compositional structure — without over-analysis of detail. There will be an emphasis on drawing form and structure to seek a certain compositional grace and order from nature. Working small, participants will draw and paint quickly. All skill levels welcome. Any medium welcome; including oil, watercolor, acrylic or gouache, charcoal, etc. Protocols to protect you and fellow students will be in place; students will be working outdoors. All participants must wear masks and keep at a safe distance from each other.
