Artist Demetri Espinosa will guide viewers through his creative process by constructing a painting from scratch, live. He will discuss his reasoning for using particular tools, methods, and materials, giving special attention to color and pigment choices. Viewers will get a first-hand and up-close view of various painting techniques—from brush handling to color mixing—as they pertain to his particular approach to abstraction.

About Demetri Espinosa:
Demetri Espinosa is a multidisciplinary artist based in Boston, MA. In 2019 he received a BFA in Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where he graduated with departmental honors. He has shown work at The Yellowstone Art Museum, Abigail Ogilvy Gallery, and most recently at Laisun Keane. His work has been featured in The Boston Globe, Artscope, and Studio Visit Magazine. He is also a Co-Director of BOSSCRITT, a critique and curatorial club which aims to provide community, support, and opportunity for emerging artists.
