Online Workshop
Visual Poetry Through Light and Observation with Katy Schneider
LEVEL: All Levels
MEDIUM: Any and All
April 30, May 1+2, 2021
1:00PM – 4:00PM
Working from life, participants will elevate the overlooked, mundane objects that surround them. We will investigate how to tell stories with light; we will explore grids as compositional devices. Incorporating both, students will create drama, relationships and visual poems. All levels of experience are welcome.
Katy Schneider is an artist and teacher living in Western Massachusetts. She has worked as a painting professor at Smith College for 20 years. Her work is currently being featured in “Silver Linings: Paintings, Process and Poetry”, now on view at Concord Art.
