Why can’t I just draw what I see? What does it mean to work from observation? I know it doesn’t look right but I can’t fix it?
How do you find the right color? I don’t see values. These are samples of the difficulties we all face in drawing and painting
from observation. We’ll explore these challenges through exercises and experiments done in class and at home. Two
classes will be from the figure and three from still life. The content is targeted to beginners who are open to challenge but all levels of
experience area welcome as the issues we cover hold endless surprises and insights.
