No Right to an Honest Living: A Conversation with Jacqueline Jones and Kellie Carter Jackson

March 6 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

- $2

Jacqueline Jones, professor emerita from the University of Texas and past president of the American Historical Association joins us for a conversation on her newest book No Right to an Honest Living: The Struggles of Boston Black Workers during the Civil War Era with historian Kellie Carter Jackson. Highlighting the everyday struggles of ordinary Black workers, Jones shows how injustice in the workplace prevented Boston—and the United States—from securing true equality for all.
