The Concord Free Public Library hosts free musical concerts on Mondays at 10:30am for children ages 0-6 years and their caregivers at the Main Library.
On Monday, July 11, join us for a free concert with Tom Sieling, widely acclaimed singer, songwriter, and guitar, banjo, and drum machine player from the New York Finger Lakes. Tom has delighted tens of thousands in over thirty years of performing. The concert will include fun, participatory camp songs with lots of audience interaction. In keeping with the “Read off the Beaten Path” Summer Reading Program theme, Tom will include the most cool, interesting nature facts and pictures he can dig up, along with lots of encouragement of children’s lifelong participation in hiking, camping, music, reading, and libraries. No registration required.
On Monday, July 18, Concord favorite Rockabye Beats joins us again! They are a fun, family group whose music is reminiscent of founder Marcos Valles’ Puerto Rico. Their songs offer a range of styles from rock n’ roll to calypso to funk and even blues. Enjoy movement, dancing, counting, singing, and a little bit of Spanish vocabulary. Their music will have you bopping and moving along in no time! No registration required.
On Monday, July 25, learn to play campfire songs on the ukulele with Julie Stepanek. Children will learn how to hold, tune, strum, make chords, and play songs on the ukulele. This program is geared for children 4 and up. Registration is required for this event. Please register by visiting our Events Calendar at concordlibrary.org.
Thank you to The Friends of the Concord Free Public Library for generously sponsoring all of the Musical Monday concerts.
