6th Annual Concord Lunafest- March 30
We are honored to partner with Concord Academy’s Community & Equity Department to present our 6th annual Lunafest!
The 2019 event will be on March 30th at Concord Academy’s Performing Arts Center at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm).
166 Main Street in Concord. Street & limited lot parking available.
Lunafest is a juried women’s film festival that is shown in over 175 locations yearly. It supports women’s non-profits and the work of female filmmakers. Films are moving, sometimes funny, & always amazing. This year’s films were chosen from more than 100 worldwide entries. The lineup features 8 provocative films made by & about women & tackle issues such as immigration, sexuality, parenthood, racism, and identity. Lunafest is appropriate for ages 11 and up.
We are proud to announce our 2019 beneficiary, Dignity in Asylum, a local female-led organization that provides safe transitional housing and support for asylum seekers, refugees, people who have been granted asylum, and unaccompanied minors at risk of homelessness. Their work is crucial and depends on our support.
